How to measure your dog for clothing
Are you still struggling to determine what size clothing you should order for your dog? Send us a message along with your dogs measurements and we will be happy to help you select a size.
Clothing sizes are based on your dogs weight, length and height. Don’t assume you know your dogs size. Each manufacturer size may be different and it’s important to check the individual size guide on the product page. The two measurements you need are the length of your dogs backbone and your dogs girth. (Measure your pet when they are standing up)
- How long am I?
Measure your dog from the base of the neck to the start of the tail. (Start the neck measurement where the collar would naturally sit on the neck)
2. How big is my chest?
Measure the chest about ½ and inch back from the front legs. (Around the body, also known as the girth). This is very important to get right, as usually if a dog freezes when you put clothing on it, it is usually because you have chosen the wrong size and restricted their movement.
3. How big is my neck?
Determine the neck size to ensure your dog is comfortable and the clothing won’t restrict breathing.Shop Clothing

How to measure your dog for a harness
Most harnesses are adjustable so select the size that is closest to your dogs measurements
Please refer to the individual harness product pages for the manufacturer’s measurements to ensure an accurate fit.
- How big is my chest?
Measure around the ribcage (snugly) just behind the front legs. Allow another 10% for comfort. The harness should be supported by the ribcage, not the belly.
